Driver Hospitalized After Smashing Into Roadway Service Vehicle In Mercer County A 23-year-old driver was hospitalized after she crashed into an unoccupied roadway service vehicle along Route 29 in Mercer County, authorities said. Majanae Burke, of Bordentown, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic near milepost 0.7 in Hamilton at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 when she veered off the highway and struck a guardrail before rear-ending the Ford F350 pickup, New Jersey State Police said. The woman suffered serious injuries.  No one else was hurt., State Police said.

Philadelphia residents Jorge Mercado-Torres, 28, and Christopher Seabrook, 47, were taken into custody Monday and charged with first-degree narcotics offenses and second-degree weapons offenses, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. The Freightliner M2 was heading south on Route 29 when it struck the back of a Chevrolet GMT-400 that was stopped in the right shoulder near milepost 0.6 in Hamilton Township around 12:45 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Cherrelle Cooper of Morris Plains then was chased by law through Hopewell Township before being taken into custody. Trenton police said. At 5:41 p.m. Saturday, Cooper is accused of stealing an idle police cruiser parked on East State Street, police said.
