Crash Route 27 Franklin Township
A crash closed all lanes of Route 27 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. north of Route 682 (Finnegan Lane) in Franklin Township, according to the NJDOT. Route 27 between Cozzens Lane and Finnigan's Lane remained closed during an investigation, according to Franklin Township and 511nj.org. "Expect heavy delays," the township said in an alert. A toppled utility pole closed all lanes of Route 27 in Woodbridge, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 near New Dover Road, according to 511nj.org. All lanes were detoured.

Driver Approached Girl Near Wawa In Central Jersey: Police
South Brunswick police seek tips on a suspicious vehicle that stopped to talk to a girl near Wawa on Route 27 last week. Her parent called the police on Wednesday, July 19 after the incident, they said. Detectives were able to find video of a blue Honda Civic seen in the area at around the time the incident may have taken place, police said. Detectives are unsure what the driver said to the girl or why he stopped near her, they said. Crash With Injuries Reported On I-287 Central Jersey
There was a crash with injuries reported on Interstate 287 in Central Jersey. The crash occurred at about 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 on I-287 northbound north of Exit 2 (Route 27) in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Two right lanes were closed, 511nj.org reported. A New Jersey State Police spokesman said the injuries were not serious.

Authorities seek the public's help locating a fugitive who allegedly fled police on foot and shot a gun after ditching a stolen car in North Brunswick. Crash Closes Route 27 In Metuchen
Route 27 (Middlesex Avenue) at Grove Avenue was to temporarily remain closed Monday for an investigation of a morning crash, Metuchen police said. They said a survey worker was struck by a hit-and-run driver in a white vehicle and advised motorists to avoid the area. Initial unconfirmed reports said a person was struck by around 9:15 a.m. and that a vehicle fled the scene.
