‘Are You Jewish?’ Hammer-Wielding Man In Rampage At Teaneck Medical Office Reportedly Asks
An attack on a Teaneck pediatric office and dry cleaners by a man wielding a hammer should be considered a bias incident, said a mom who hid in a bathroom with her terrified daughter. “Are you Jewish?” Jill Gordon said he asked her and others during Sunday’s rampage at the Riverside Medical Group on Palisade Avenue. Camwren T. Cole, 23, of Teaneck – who’d apparently cut himself while smashing windows -- also screamed “They tried to turn me trans!” Gordon said. Both of New Jersey's coronavirus-related deaths have reportedly been linked. UPDATE: Murphy Announces Statewide Curfew Rita Fusco-Jackson, of Freehold, in her 50, was identified as the second fatality in New Jersey. She was being hospitalized at CentraState Medical Center. 19: North Jersey Municipalities Report First Cases, Others Brace For Shutdowns
While some North Jersey municipalities and counties are bracing for a shutdown, others are reporting their very first coronavirus cases. BERGEN Teaneck was the first in the state to urge residents to self-quarantine Saturday night, after learning that cases more than doubled overnight from 8 to 18. As of Sunday, Bergen County had 29 positive test results of the 98 in the entire state -- including two fatalities.
