2 Students Charged With Firing Pepper Spray Prompting South Brunswick HS Evacuation: Police Two students have been charged in connection with the evacuation of 3,000 high school students in Central Jersey, authorities said. At 12:25 p.m. on Friday, March 11, South Brunswick police were notified about several students reporting eye and throat irritation following exposure to a chemical odor in a science classroom at the South Brunswick High School. While students and staff evacuated the building, twelve additional police officers responded to maintain safety and security. Pauline Jessica 'PJ' Atieno Dande Of North Brunswick Dies, 26 Pauline Jessica Atieno Dande of North Brunswick died on Sept. 25 due to complications of sickle cell anemia at 26 years old.  "PJ" -- as her friends called her -- was remembered in her obituary for her passion for life. Proud of her Kenyan heritage, she lead the Adventurers Club and Pathfinder Youth Club at the New Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist Church. "[PJ] believed in educating those around her about sickle cell disease and shared her personal battle with many close friends and family," her obituary says.
