'Swatting' Incident Brings Central Jersey Police To Fake Emergency
Monroe Township police responded to an apparent “swatting” incident on Wednesday, July 3, authorities said. The Monroe Township Police Communications Center was contacted by a representative from the 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline who reported a suicidal subject in the Reserve neighborhood in Monroe Township, police said. Driver Cited, Hospitalized After Vehicle Overturns: Montgomery PD
A 55-year-old Philadelphia resident was cited for careless driving after his vehicle overturned in Montgomery on Monday, June 24, authorities said. At 6:39 a.m., first responders were on scene at Spring Hill Road after a 2020 Toyota Highlander overturned, Montgomery police said in a release. The driver was traveling north on Spring Hill Road when he failed to maintain the lane of travel, driving off the roadway, police said. 6 Walgreens Stores In South Jersey Get Fake Bomb Threats: Police
Six Walgreens stores in South Jersey were among 20 nationwide to get fake bomb threats on Thursday, June 28, authorities said. One was in Evesham at 11:35 a.m. when a caller contacted the store on Route 73 reporting an explosive device was inside, Evesham Township police said in a press statement. Police evacuated the Walgreens and nearby stores and closed a portion of Route 73 while a Burlington County Sheriff’s Office K9 trained in explosive detection searched the store. Crash Shuts All Lanes Of Route 287
All lanes of Route 287 were closed due to a crash late Thursday, June 27, the NJDOT site says. The NJDOT site said police were on scene of a crash investigation in the northbound lanes south of Route 202 as of 11 p.m. The crash itself happened just after 8:30 p.m., preliminary reports say.
