On Monday, Dec. 5, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Woodbridge police received a report of a person attempting to enter several vehicles in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts, 1366 Saint George Avenue. The caller reported that the suspect left the area in a black Honda CRV. The Attorney General’s Office is investigating the crash on Route 9 south in Old Bridge after a Marlboro police officer attempted to stop a vehicle at 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The vehicle being pursued struck unrelated civilian vehicles. It was a suspect in an attempted car theft. The identities of the decedent and the other individuals are not being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.
