Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Route 35: Prosecutor A 22-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Eatontown, authorities announced Wednesday, April 1. At 7:18 a.m. on Friday, March 27, Eatontown police responded to Route 35 and the Monmouth Mall Jughandle after a 2019 Honda Insight struck Edwin Chavez-Solis, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said. Chavez-Solis was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 7:40 a.m, Santiago said. The driver of the Honda Insight was uninjured and remained on scene, Santiago said. The crash remains under investigation, Santiago said.

Pedestrian Hospitalized After Hit By Vehicle At NJ Speedway: Njsp A pedestrian was hospitalized following a crash at Wall Stadium Speedway on Saturday morning, Nov. 22, authorities said. At 11:50 a.m., troopers responded to the speedway in Wall Township after a race car attempting to make a left turn lost directional control and struck a guardrail, causing the vehicle to overturn and strike a pedestrian, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.. No other injuries were reported, Lebron said.
