Deal Man, 86, Spared Prison After Repeated Sexual Contact With Girl: Prosecutor
An 86-year-old Deal man will spend the rest of his life as a registered sex offender under parole supervision after admitting to having sexual contact with a child at various times over the course of about a decade, starting about 25 years ago, authorities said. He will also be made to serve five years of probation and pay slightly more than $134,000 in restitution to the victim under a plea agreement. A 56-year-old drug dealer from Toms River has been sentenced to 17 years in New Jersey state prison, authorities said.
