Construction Worker Struck By Backhoe In Midland Park
A construction worker was hospitalized after being struck Wednesday afternoon by a backhoe in Midland Park. The Kemsco Construction and Equipment Company (Newark) worker was injured shortly before 4:30 p.m. behind the Midland Park Shopping Center on Godwin Avenue. Members of the Midland Park Ambulance Corps tended to the worker and took him to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. There was no immediate word on the extent of the injury. OSHA was notified. Midland Park and Wyckoff police also responded.

Worker From Fairview Falls 25 Feet Off Glen Rock Roof
A worker survived a 25-foot fall from the roof of a Glen Rock home on Thursday, authorities said. The Glen Rock Ambulance Corps took the 37-year-old Fairview man to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson following the 8:50 a.m. mishap on Pinelynn Road, Lt. Frank Riggio said. His injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, Riggio said. Digger, 59, Freed After Grave Collapses At Lyndhurst Cemetery
A grave digger was pinned up to his knees when a plot at a Lyndhurst cemetery collapsed on him Tuesday afternoon. Lyndhurst firefighters freed the 59-year-old Hillside Cemetery worker folowing the 3:40 p.m. incident, Acting Police Lt. Vincent Auteri said. The Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad took the victim to Hackensack University Medical Center after he complained of back and chest pain.
