Pedestrian Struck Walking On Route 202: Police A pedestrian was seriously injured when they were struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning, Dec. 11, while walking on a highway in Bridgewater Township, authorities said. At 1:27 a.m., police responded to US Highway 202/206 near the intersection of US Highway 22 after a pedestrian, who has not been identified, was hit by a 2014 Toyota Corolla  while walking north in the right lane of the highway, police said. Somerset County Driver Killed In Late-Night Crash At Rt. 22 Intersection A Somerset County driver was killed after colliding with another vehicle at a Route 22 intersection late on Wednesday, June 21. Charles Young, of Somerset, was driving a 2018 Jeep Wrangler and hit a 2018 Nissan Rogue driven by Wallace Wilder of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the westbound lanes at the intersection of the MetLife facility in Bridgewater around 11:58 p.m., police said. Young was pronounced dead at the scene. Responding agencies include the Bradley Gardens Volunteer Rescue Squad and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital’s Paramedics. Hopatcong Woman, 28, Killed By Car In Bridgewater A 28-year-old Hopatcong woman was struck and killed by a car in Bridgewater overnight, authorities said. Kelsey Benson was walking on State Highway 28 when she was struck by a Lexus driven by a 59-year-old Bridgewater man around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, June 5, local police said. Members of Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Paramedic unit responded to the scene to render aid to Benson, but she ultimately died of her injuries at the scene.
