Police: Rowan University Students Vandalized NJ Town's Christmas Display Causing $6K In Damages
A pair of Rowan University students were charged with vandalizing a South Jersey town's Christmas display and a local parking garage last week, totaling nearly $6,000 in damage and repairs, authorities said.
Matthew Lubicky, 19, of Delran, and William Fowler, 19, of Demarest, were charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in connection with the Dec. 4 Glassboro incident, police said.
Fowler was also charged with resisting arrest.

A 42-year-old man who sped away from police officers who found him slumped over his steering wheel on the NJ Turnpike in Union County was arrested as his Central Jersey home, authorities said.
Mike Otto, 42, of Carteret, was charged with eluding, resisting arrest, obstruction, tampering with evidence, possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminally under the influence, New Jersey State Police said in a release.

Five Morris County Corrections officers admitted using and sharing drugs including cocaine -- keeping them from ever getting a job in public employment ever again.
Corrections officers Dominick Andico, 33, Albert Wyman IV, 36, Robert Busold, 27, Brian T. Rzucidlo, 35, and Sheriff's Officer Nicholas Ricciotti, 31, plead guilty to various drug charges for buying, distributing and being in possession of cocaine starting in January 2018, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Carlstadt Police Capture Freed Newark Ex-Con, 55, After Home Burglary
Carlstadt police chased down an ex-con from Newark and were searching for an accomplice after both climbed through a resident’s window, ransacked a bedroom and bolted out the back door, authorities said.
Neighbors alerted police to the break-in on the 400 block of 8th Street, Police Chief Thomas Berta said.
Lt. Thomas Negro and Officers James Ross and Matthew Smith quickly assembled a perimeter with help from East Rutherford police, Berta said.
Ross and Smith captured one of the suspected burglars, Jose Andujar, 55, as he tried to flee through a Division Avenue backyard, the chief said.
