Teens Who Tried Carjacking Bentley In Edison Arrested
Two of three suspects in an attempted carjacking in Edison have been arrested, authorities said. Edison Mayor Sam Joshi said that a 16-year-old and 17-year-old had been arrested. The mayor thanked local police as well as NJ Transit and Rahway police. The attempted carjacking of a Bentley SUV occurred outside Patel Brothers grocery store on Oak Tree Road at about 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15. The driver had the key fob in his pocket, so the teens were unable to steal the SUV.

Bomb Threat Shakes Up Jewish Community Center In Edison
There was an unfounded bomb threat on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County. The center on Oak Tree Road in Edison was temporarily evacuated. Police found no bomb and there were no injuries, according to Lt. Robert Duffy, an Edison Police Department spokesman. An investigation is continuing. The threat came less than a week after a broad statewide threat made against New Jersey synagogues. That Nov. 3 threat was mitigated by a probe of the FBI which located a suspect making the threat.
