Car Salesman ID'd As Pedestrian Killed By Tractor Trailer On NJ Turnpike
The pedestrian struck and killed by a tractor trailer on the NJ Turnpike over the weekend has been identified as a 43-year-old Somerdale man. Charles Niclas 3rd, 43, was standing outside of a vehicle on the shoulder but in the northbound lane of travel when he was struck by a Peterbuilt tractor hauling a fifth wheel recreational vehicle near milepost 648.4 on Saturday, April 16, New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Pedestrian Killed On NJ Turnpike
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The driver of the car that struck the victim remained on scene and was not injured while the pedestrian was pronounced dead, Goez said. The right two lanes were closed for accident investigation.

A man and woman were charged after a traffic stop on the NJ Turnpike led to the discovery of more than 400 bricks of heroin and cocaine, authorities announced. New Jersey State Police seek the public's help identifying a woman who allegedly assaulted a cashier at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop. The assault occurred at the Joyce Kilmer service area, according to the NJSP Troop “D” Criminal Investigation Office. Trucks Collide On NJ Turnpike In Central Jersey: State Police
Two trucks collided causing delays on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at 6:31 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 in the southbound lanes of the outer roadway at milepost 90.9 in Woodbridge Township, according to Sgt. Alejandro Goez, a State Police spokesman. Two trucks collided, and as a result, one truck went off the road to the left and went through the guardrail into the median, Goez said. A driver was thrown from a Jeep and hospitalized following a Wednesday late-night crash on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County, state police said. The driver lost control and collided with an SUV in the south inner lanes near milepost 57.1 in Hamilton around 12:40 a.m., NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota told DailyVoice.com. Authorities ID Man Dead In NJ Turnpike Crash
A 32-year-old man died in a crash on the NJ Turnpike early Wednesday in Union County. An International tractor trailer and a Hino box truck were heading north in the truck late when the truck struck the back of the trailer at milepost 101.9 around 6:55 a.m., New Jersey State Police spokeswoman Brandi Slota said. The driver of the Hino box truck suffered minor issues, and the passenger, Geraldo J. Velez-Portes, 32, of Perth Amboy, died. The driver of the tractor trailer sustained minor injuries.
