NJ College Cracks Hot Missing Persons Case
Students and staff from a New Jersey college center have cracked a hot missing persons case from across the country. The Ramapo College of New Jersey's Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center (IGG) worked in collaboration with authorities in St. Louis County, MI, to successfully identify “St. Louis John Doe,” who had been missing since 2021. The death of a man whose body was recovered from the Passaic River following a police chase was being investigated by county and state authorities, a family member said she was told. Meanwhile, she and other loved ones wait in anguish for answers. Police in South Jersey seek the public's help in a 25-year-old missing persons case involving an expectant girl. On Dec. 16, 1996, at approximately 1 a.m., Celina Mays went missing from her Willingboro Township home in Burlington County, police said.
