Police Seeking Witnesses In Deadly Route 36 Pedestrian Crash Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a 60-year-old man just before he was struck and killed along Route 36 last week. Dennis Bannon, of Leonardo, was found lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle near Navy Weapons Station Earle around 8:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 in Middletown, Deputy Police Chief Paul Bailey said. Bannon had been walking on the roadway prior to the crash, Bailey said. The driver was cooperative with police during the investigation. Man, 31, Arrested For Weapons Offenses On Jersey Shore: Police A 31-year-old man from California was arrested on weapons charges in Middletown, authorities said. On Thursday, Aug. 3, at 12:33 a.m., Middletown Twp. Police Officers Shane Hall and Aidan Cary, arrested Rajiv U. Bryant, of Emeryville, California, for unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of high capacity magazines, and possession of hollow point ammunition, police said.
