A 40-year-old man from South Jersey called police after killing his wife, but when they found her body at the scene, he said she was taking a nap, authorities said. Babu Natarajan is believed to have strangled Angammal Babu, 41, in their Medford Township home on Tuesday, March 21, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw alongside Medford Township Police Chief Arthur E. Waterman said. Hunting Dog Rescued After A Week In Drain Pipe: Police
An 8-year-old hunting dog was trapped in a drain pipe for a week until first responders and residents rescued him. Medford Township Police, Medford Fire, and Medford Neighborhood Services worked to free Dylan, a coonhound, overnight on Sunday, July 24. It took several hours to free the dog who was taken to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. 74-Year-Old Woman Killed In South Jersey House Fire: Police
A 74-year-old woman was killed in a house fire, authorities said. At 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Medford police, firefighters and EMS crews responded to the 100 block of Taunton Boulevard. Emergency responders arrived on location within minutes of the calls and found fire coming out of the first and second-floor windows, according to Medford police. The unidentified woman was found deceased on the residence's second floor, police said.
