Ad-Free Service That Costs $2.99 Launches As Latest Streaming Wars Contender
Roku is looking to undercut its rivals by offering a cheaper, ad-free streaming service. Howdy officially launched on Tuesday, Aug. 5, Roku announced in a news release. The new platform promises no commercials and thousands of popular titles for just $2.99 a month. Roku said Howdy has no contracts or hidden fees, and that the $2.99 monthly price is not a promotional rate. Lionsgate Production Studio Expected To Bring 600 Jobs To NJ's Largest City
The largest city in New Jersey is about to get some major movie attention and it's going to need a big crew to keep it afloat. Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Governor Phil Murphy recently announced that Lionsgate will be opening a brand new 12-acre TV and film complex in Newark, worth more than $125 million.
