Girl Who Died In Hersheypark Wave Pool Identified As 9-Year-Old Sophia Subedi The 9-year-old girl who died after being rescued from Hersheypark’s wave pool last week has been identified as Sophia Subedi, a resident of Harrisburg’s Bhutanese community. Sophia, born in 2016 in Mount Carmel, Columbus, Ohio, had lived in Harrisburg since 2022. GO Free: Murphy Waives Summer State Park Entrance Fee As of Memorial Day Weekend, entry to all New Jersey state parks, forests, and recreation areas will be free of charge for the entire summer, according to Gov. Phil Murphy. The one-year state parks fee holiday is one of several fee waivers included in this year's budget, he said. Park entrance fees will be waived for all visitors, regardless of state residency.  Anyone who already purchased a 2022 annual State Park Pass will automatically receive a full refund, the governor said in a press statement. Memorials Honor Jersey Shore Lifeguard Killed By Lightning Monday afternoon was just another work day for South Seaside Park guard Keith Pinto, who sat in the lifeguard chair under clear skies surrounded by his colleagues and beach goers. Seemingly out of nowhere, though, lightning struck.  The 19-year-old guard fell out of his chair and the force knocked a nearby group of people to the ground around 4:30 p.m. at the 21st Avenue Beach, witnesses tell CBS2.
