DUI Driver Charged In New Brunswick Crash
A 31-year-old man from Central Jersey was driving under the influence when he fled the scene of a pedestrian crash, authorities said.
Abel Bustos-Medel, 31, of New Brunswick, was charged with assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI in the crash, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Vincent Sabo of the New Brunswick Police Department.

Video: Haworth Nanny, Baby Stroller Struck By Hit-Run Van, Fleeing Rockland Driver Caught
A Haworth nanny and an infant she was pushing in a stroller were struck Wednesday by a van driven by a FedEx worker from Rockland who fled the scene, authorities said.
A police sergeant in neighboring Demarest stopped David Gutfeld, 56, of Airmont a short time later, Haworth Police Chief Michael Gracey said.
The child was OK, but the 55-year-old nanny had to be hospitalized, Gracey said, adding that the entire incident was captured on home security video.

A 37-year-old man from Toms River has been charged in the death of a Westchester County, NY, man who was struck on the shoulder of the Garden State Parkway, authorities said.
Roberto Sandoval-Guerrero was charged with vehicular homicide, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said on Wednesday.
