Nicholas Wieber, 28, of Bay Shore, was indicted on kidnapping and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Jan. 9, following an investigation that began in December 2025.
Wieber allegedly communicated with the child through Discord, a messaging application commonly used by children for gaming, according to the Suffolk County DA’s office. The messages quickly became sexual in nature, officials said.

Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez was sentenced on Monday, Aug. 11, following his April 2025 jury trial conviction on all counts, which include first-degree murder, first-degree rape, third-degree sexual offense, and kidnapping, according to the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office.
