A 59-year-old Keasbey truck driver was killed in a crash between two tractor trailers on the New Jersey Turnpike in Linden on the early morning of Tuesday, March 11, authorities said. At 12:11 a.m., a Freightliner tractor trailer, driven by Jose Diaz, was going southbound on the Turnpike on the outer roadway, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. Search efforts are under way for a 3-year-old girl and her 31-year-old father Thursday morning in South Jersey. Jose and Leih Diaz were reported missing from a home in the Clementon section of Gloucester Township Dec. 9, police said. They were last seen leaving the area in a 2014 burgundy Honda Accord. Inspector, Brother Caught On Wire Shaking Down Hudson Job Site Contractor
An OSHA officer from Bloomfield and his brother conspired to extort a general contractor at a North Bergen work site, said federal authorities who tapped one of their meetings. Assigned to investigate the alleged misuse of an extension ladder, Alvaro Idrovo, 44, told the contractor he was violating OSHA regulations for not having the necessary safety training certificates for his workers to be on ladders, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.
