Sled Rider, 14, Airlifted In Jersey Shore Crash Involving ATV, Tree: Police
A 14-year-old child riding a sled was airlifted with serious injuries in a crash involving an ATV and a tree in Ocean County, officials said. The sled being pulled by the ATV, operated by a 15-year-old child, struck a tree around 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20 in a wooded area near on Stump Tavern Road, Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said. Kunz said only that the person on the sled was seriously injured. No further details were immediately available.

Florida Man Arrested With Counterfeit Cash On Jersey Shore: Police
Several stores within Jackson Premium Outlets mall called the police to report two men attempting to pass counterfeit money. Jackson police were able to locate one of the suspects, they said. While pursuing the suspect on Tuesday, Nov. 8, police allegedly observed the suspect ripping up fake bills and throwing them to the ground. Traffic Detoured, Wires Down In Jersey Shore Crash: Police
Traffic was being detoured away from East Veterans Highway (Routes 527/528) in Jackson due to a crash, authorities said. The route was closed on Tuesday, Sept. 6 between Bowman Road and Grand Boulevard as a result of a pole and wires down, Jackson police said. Morning school traffic added to the delays, police said. School transportation was reporting significant delays in their pickup schedules for the area, police said.

A pair of suspected shoplifters from New York was arrested at Jackson Premium Outlets, authorities said. UPDATED: An 81-year-old man riding a four-wheel mobility scooter was struck and killed by a pickup truck in Ocean County, authorities said. Hunter Falls From Tree, Airlifted To Jersey Shore Hospital
A hunter was rescued from woods along the Jersey Shore after falling from a tree stand, authorities said. Tourniquets had to be applied to the 62-year-old man's legs before the man was taken to Liberty High School where he was airlifted to an area hospital, according to Jackson police. A Jersey Shore man accused of trying to lure a teenage girl into his SUV has been arrested, authorities said. Francisco Rosales-Flores, 39, of Jackson was arrested on Thursday, Jackson police said.
