Inmate Dies At NJ Federal Prison: Feds A 34-year-old man died after being unresponsive in his cell at FCI Fort Dix in Burlington County on the early morning of Wednesday, April 16, authorities said. At 3:15 a.m., lifesaving measures were initiated for Macos Sanchez-Santana after he was found unresponsive, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said. Sanchez-Santana was pronounced dead by EMS personnel, authorities said. Sanchez-Santana had been sentenced to 10 years in prison in the District of Puerto Rico for conspiracy to commit cocaine, authorities said. Serial Killer From Trenton Dies In State Prison: 'A Down Elevator Awaits Him' A notorious killer from Trenton, convicted of killing people outside -- as well as inside state prison -- died behind walls on Tuesday, authorities said. Ambrose Harris, who murdered a young artist in the state capital 28 years ago, and then killed a fellow inmate while on Death Row, was 68 years old. The state Department of Corrections confirmed Harris' death, but did not disclose a cause. Harris had been incarcerated at New Jersey State Prison in Trenton since 1994.
