Authorities are searching for an Ocean County man believed responsible for a fatal crash on Christmas Eve. Roberto Alcazar-Sanchez,, 27, of Jackson, has been charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, but he remains at large, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Ocean County authorities seek the public's help in locating a suspected hit-and-run driver in a fatal crash on Christmas Eve. Police said they found 200 or so partiers – few wearing masks or social distancing – along with drugs, alcohol and disabled fire alarms during a pre-dawn raid of a rented space above a Domino's in Englewood. : Police Officer Rescues Driver From Fiery Central Jersey Wreck
A Howell Township patrol officer saved a driver from a burning car on Saturday night, authorities said. Police Officer Nicholas Volpe spotted the car, which was fully engulfed in flames, on Manassa Road about 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Howell police said. A man from Monmouth County has admitted to causing the deaths of four stolen German Shepherd puppies, authorities said. Daniel McDonald, 26, of Freehold, pleaded guilty on Thursday to four counts of animal cruelty before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Vincent N. : Pickup Plunges Into Monmouth Reservoir
A pickup truck had to be pulled from a Monmouth County reservoir on Thursday. Two occupants from Toms River escaped without injury after the truck fell into the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell Township during a boat launch, police said. The Squankum Fire Dive Team secured straps so Certified Auto could tow it out. For some reason, the driver put the pickup into reverse after the boat was in the water, sending it into the drink, as well, township police wrote in a Facebook post. Howell Police Arrest Pair Of Suspected Valentine's Day Bandits
A Howell Township couple who, police say, spent their Valentine's Day evening ransacking cars in the Toscana neighborhood has been arrested. One of the alleged partners in crime turned herself in Tuesday. Police said they tracked down the male suspect on Friday. On the night of Feb. 14 and early morning of Feb. 15, several vehicles were entered and valuables were stolen off of Fort Plains Road. A 27-year-old Monmouth County man jailed for a pair of North Jersey robberies also broke into a Secaucus motel, sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint and robbed her, authorities charged. A complaint about "someone waving a gun" in Monmouth County turned out to be false, and now the caller is under investigation, according to Howell Township police. The incident started in the Point O Woods development, when the caller told police someone was waving a gun out the window of a vehicle on Bergerville Road, police said.
