Pedestrian, 33, Struck, Killed Crossing Atlantic County Highway
A 33-year-old man from Atlantic County died early Monday after being struck by an SUV at a traffic light, authorities said.
Egg Harbor Township police were investigating whether the motorist had run through the red light on Black Horse Pike at English Creek Avenue.
The victim was identified by police as Anthony Swezeny. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene about 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Michael Doyle, 31, of Tuckerton, Ocean County, was driving east on Black Horse Pike in a Honda, police said, and allegedly struck the pedestrian.

A Union County motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer and ejected on Route 287 in Edison Monday morning, state police confirmed.
Terrance R. Erwin, 61, was riding a Honda motorcycle southbound toward Route 440 north when she collided with a tractor-trailer near milepost .01 in Edison just before 5:30 a.m., NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice.
Erwin, of Plainfield, was thrown from the bike and suffered fatal injuries, Marchan said.

South Jersey Driver, 25, Killed When Car Flips Off I-295
A 25-year-old motorist from South Jersey was killed on Sunday when his car flipped and veered off of Interstate-295 in Gloucester County, authorities said.
Joseph Patterson Jr., 25, of Williamstown was driving a 2015 Honda Civic southbound in West Deptford Township about 10:45 a.m. when his vehicle went off the highway near milepost 19.8, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Alejandro Goez.
The Honda went off I-295 to the right, reentered the roadway, went off the road to the left, struck the center median guardrail, and overturned, according to Goez.
