Sudden Death Of NJ District's Former Superintendent Spreads Shock, Sadness
A New Jersey school district is mourning the loss of its former superintendent.
Miguel Hernandez, 58, was currently serving as interim assistant principal at Manchester Regional High School in Passaic County, after retiring as superintendent in 2021. He died on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 58.
In response to Hernandez's passing, the school district held an early dismissal on Monday, Nov. 13.

Kind, Loving, Generous: Death Of NJ Postal Service Veteran, 67, Mourned
A 67-year-old retiree from Wood-Ridge was in cardiac arrest when he was pulled from a backyard pool, family members said.
Dennis R. Haggerty was in the above-ground pool on Windsor Road when he suffered the attack shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, July 6, loved ones said.
A family member and a neighbor quickly got him out, they said.
CPR was conducted and a defibrillator used on Haggerty, who was later pronounced dead at Hackensack University Medical Center, Wood-Ridge Police Capt. Joseph Biamonte said.

Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Worth $10K Sold At NJ Deli
There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, Dec. 9, Mega Millions lottery that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball.
The prize was worth drawn $10,000.
That ticket was purchased at Ottomanelli Liquors & Deli, 422 Monroe St., Hoboken in Hudson County.
