Sidewalk Save: Bodycam Footage Shows NJ Officers Saving Choking Baby
Newly-released body-worn camera footage shows two New Jersey police officers saving a choking baby. Hightstown Officers Daniel Abbatemarco and Kenneth Larsen responded to a call of a choking baby girl on March 31. Upon arrival, they were met by a man holding the girl. Larsen arrived on scene and quickly performed the Infant Heimlich Maneuver on the girl, who was breathing again in a matter of seconds. Middle Schooler, 13, Killed Biking In Mercer County
A 13-year-old middle school student was struck and killed by a car while riding his bike in Mercer County Friday, Sept. 9, authorities said. The Melvin H. Kreps Middle School student was found unconscious with severe trauma to the body and head around 9 p.m. at the intersection of West Ward and Mercer streets in Hightstown, local police said. He had apparently been struck while crossing the street, and the driver remained at the scene and issued a summons for careless driving, authorities said. Was Body Found Floating In Central Jersey Lake Registered Sex Offender?
UPDATE: A 60-year-old man found floating dead in a Mercer County lake may have been a registered sex offender in the area. Local police identified the body as Dana "Mike" Fields, of Highstown, but did not say if it was the same Dana M. Fields, a registered sex offender in the area. Sgt. Benjamin Miller, a Hightstown Police Department spokesman, said he could not confirm or deny if it was the same person.
