Middlesex County Shooting Ruled Suicide, Prosecutor Says
A shooting death in Middlesex County on Wednesday, Sep. 18 has been ruled a suicide, authorities said. The victim's family member called 9-1-1 around 2:45 p.m., bringing Carteret police to Pershing and Union Avenue around 2:45 p.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden said. Carteret Detective Keith Cassens and MCPO Detective Stephanie Redline found the man, who had suffered a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have released additional information in the double shooting Wednesday, June 12 in Carteret. Two females were found having suffered gunshot wounds on Roosevelt Avenue around 9 a.m., and were airlifted to area hospitals, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden said. As of 2:30 p.m., one victim had died and the other remains critical, Ciccone and McFadden said. 3-Year-Old Child Fatally Shoots Self In Trenton: Prosecutor
A three-year-old child accidentally shot themself to death in Trenton, authorities said. The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Task Force responded to Princeton Avenue on a report of a child suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a county prosecutor. A 41-year-old New Jersey native who last February was arrested in connection with a quadruple Ohio murder has been charged in a 2013 Camden County homicide as well, authorities said. Martin Muniz, formerly of Camden, was charged on Monday, May 22, with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Jaime Molina, 45, of Camden, they said. A man was critically injured in a daylight shooting in New Brunswick, authorities said. The shooting occurred Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11:08 a.m., according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
