Explosion Blows Out Window Of Perth Amboy Restaurant: Report (Developing) A gas explosion blew out the first-floor windows of a Perth Amboy restaurant and injured one person Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20, ABC7 reports. Fire crews arrived at the Hall Avenue scene around 3:40 p.m. to find an active gas leak and smoke coming from the building, prompting evacuations before Elizabethtown Gas secured the gas main and crews extinguished the flames, the outlet said.  One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and a third-floor family was displaced as officials continued investigating the cause, according to ABC7. Support Surges For ROTC Grad Seriously Burned In Perth Amboy Gas Explosion Support is surging for a 28-year-old Perth Amboy man who was seriously burned in a gas explosion in his garage last month. More than $58,100 had been raised on a GoFundMe as of Aug. 10 for David Wiessler, an ROTC grad and former U.S. Army EOD officer.
