Just in time for the holidays, Bruce Springsteen paid a visit to a popular hometown restaurant on the Jersey Shore. It was Springsteen's third visit to Roberto's Freehold Grill in two months. A former New Jersey resident with a cockamamie political history must spend the next 20 years in federal prison for threatening to kill police officers, lawyers and judges, among others, in and around Monmouth County. A 21-year-old driver was sentenced to 12 years in New Jersey State Prison for a fatal crash during a police chase, authorities said. One person died in a seven-car pileup on Route 9 Tuesday, Dec. 5 in Freehold, authorities said. It happened at the intersection of Routes 9 and 33 around 10:30 a.m., a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. A 63-year-old woman from Ocean County was killed in a fire at a mobile home, authorities said. Catherine Hakos's body was recovered from the back bedroom of the residence, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
