State Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed On NJ Turnpike In Edison State police have identified the pedestrian killed early Saturday in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike. Francisco J. Cespedes-Garcia, 33, of New Brunswick, was struck by a car on the inner northbound side of the turnpike around 4:20 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said Monday. The incident occurred in the cars-only lanes of the 12-lane highway between exits 9 and 10 in Edison, police said. Cespedes-Garcia was declared dead at the scene.  The inner three northbound lanes were reopened about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.  The accident remains under investig…
