Animals were intentionally blown up using fireworks in a Pittsburgh neighborhood—and the horrifying footage was posted online, authorities announced on Wednesday, Aug. 20. The Violence Prevention Unit was first alerted to the animal cruelty video around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, after it surfaced on social media, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety. Girl Injured Playing With Fireworks In Philadelphia: Police
A girl was injured while playing with fireworks in North Philadelphia, police announced on Thursday, July 10. The juvenile female was hurt on the 1700 block of North Bailey Street in the 22nd District around 3:24 p.m., according to authorities. Medics transported her to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. A Siberian Husky fleeing from noisy fireworks was rescued by Monmouth County Sheriff's Officers off the Jersey Shore. Caiden, a 10-year-old dog, was saved after swimming about a mile and a half off Union Beach, authorities said.
