A man wanted in one of the biggest gold thefts in Canadian history has admitted in U.S. court to smuggling dozens of guns—including fully automatic machine pistols—back into Canada, federal prosecutors say.
Durante King-Mclean, 26, of Cambridge, Ontario, pleaded guilty in Harrisburg on Tuesday, May 14, to conspiracy to traffic firearms after a Pennsylvania traffic stop exposed a shocking weapons pipeline stretching from Florida to the Canadian border.
He had 65 handguns crammed into the trunk of a rental car, each one hidden inside a sock, authorities said.

Machete Murder: Monmouth County Man Convicted Of Stabbing Newark Resident, Prosecutor Says
A 35-year-old Cliffwood man was convicted of first degree murder last month for fatally stabbing a Newark man with a machete, authorities announced Friday, April 11.
Terrance Bailey was found guilty for murdering Daniel Haas, Jr. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said.
Bailey and an accomplice pursued Haas while brandishing a firearm near 207 Cathedral Ct. in Newark, Stephens said. Bailey and the accomplice, who has not been identified, killed Haas with a machete, Stephens said.
Bailey faces 30 years to life in New Jersey State Prison, Stephens said.

A California man who traveled across the country armed with a gun, ammo, zip ties, and a crowbar to kill a sitting Supreme Court justice in Maryland has pleaded guilty, federal prosecutors announced.
Nicholas John Roske, age 29, of Simi Valley, admitted in court that he flew from Los Angeles to Dulles International Airport in June 2022, carrying a firearm and ammunition in his checked luggage.

An 18-year-old Iselin man was arrested on Monday, April 7 for his role in a shooting in Linden last month, authorities said.
