Driver High On Fentanyl In Fatal NJ Crash Gets Prison Time
A 32-year-old woman from Monmouth County has been sentenced in a fatal crash while high on drugs, authorities said.
Ashley Watkins, 32, of Eatontown, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison on Friday, Dec. 1, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Her prison time is in connection with a crash in Brick Township in May 2021, resulting in the death of Nancy Penrod, 78, of Brick, the prosecutor said.
