Football Star, 24, Dies Of Injuries From Trenton Shooting: Prosecutor
A 24-year-old man from Mercer County died of injuries suffered in a shooting in Trenton earlier this month, authorities said.
Justin Prescott Reed, of Ewing, died on May 22, as a result of injuries he sustained in the May 14 shooting on Brunswick Avenue, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said on Wednesday, May 31.
No arrests had been made in the shooting as of press time, authorities said.
Reed was a star football player at Ewing High School. He later played football at Delaware Valley University, Monroe College and Mercer Community College, his obituary said.

Lifelong Mercer County Resident Dies Unexpectedly, 40
Lifelong Mercer County resident Jenifer Sharmein Taylor Hackett died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 28. She was 40.
Hackett grew up in Ewing, where she graduated from Ewing High School in 1999, according to her Facebook page.
Hackett then moved to Hamilton Township, where she lived at the time of her death, her obituary says.

Services Held For Mark Hudson Jr., Ewing HS Grad Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight At 21
Funeral services were recently held for Mark Kendall Hudson, Jr., the Ewing High School graduate who was shot and killed in broad daylight on Nov. 22 at the age of 21.
Born in New Brunswick, Hudson graduated from Ewing High School before pursuing higher education at Mercer County Community College, his obituary says.
Hudson had previously worked at Marrazzo’s Grocery Store of Ewing, Acme of Lawrence, Shop Rite of Pennington, Man Power and Abacus Staffing Services, according to his memorial.
