Million-Dollar Winner: Scratch-Off Sold At Trenton Wawa Wins Big Prize
A scratch-off lottery ticket worth $1 million was purchased at a convenience store in Mercer County, officials said. The $1,000,000 Platinum Payout scratch-off was sold at the Wawa on Flock Road in Trenton, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Monday, Oct. 28. Each ticket costs $20 and the $1 million prize is the game's largest. The winner was bought at the gas station near the intersection with Quakerbridge Road on Thursday, Oct. 24. Young Pilot, Dad ID'd As Victims Killed In NJ Plane Crash
A 24-year-old commercial airlines pilot and his dad were identified as the victims killed in a small plane crash in South Jersey Monday, Sept. 19. A 51-year-old man from Salem County was killed in a collision, authorities said. Leon Parsons Jr., of Pittsgrove, was killed at the intersection of Alvine and Upper Neck roads in the township on Tuesday, Sept. 6, New Jersey State Police said. A 76-year-old woman from Elmer was driving an SUV north on Alvine Road in Pittsgrove Township shortly after 1:30 p.m. when her vehicle collided with Parsons' car traveling east on Upper Neck Road, according to Sgt. One person was killed and more than a dozen hurt in a crash on State Highway 77 in Cumberland County Friday, Aug. 19, authorities said. DUI Driver Charged In December Crash That Killed South Jersey Mom: Report
A 30-year-old man from South Jersey has been charged with drunk driving in connection with a December crash that killed a beloved mom of four, NJ Advance Media reported. Stephen M. Karwowski, of Elmer was driving a pickup in Pennsville on Dec. 4, 2021, when he struck a car driven by Genita Townsend, 52, the outlet said.
