Police: Drunk NJ Driver Deliberately Coughs On Officers During Stop, Says 'I Have Coronavirus'
A Wayne driver who crashed her car while drunk deliberately coughed on Hanover police and told them she had the coronavirus, said authorities who charged her.
Lea Piazza, 28, failed a field sobriety test after crashing on Route 10 near Dryden Way just after 11 p.m., and was being processed by Hanover police when she began purposely coughing on officer Erick Magley last Thursday, Hanover police said.

Police charged a Fairview driver with DWI after her Cadillac SUV struck a parked car and rolled over before dawn Thursday.
The 2019 XT4 struck a parked car on Anderson Avenue at DeSoto Place, near Fairvew police headquarters, at 1:49 a.m., Chief Martin Kahn said.
The struck car got slammed into another, while the SUV driven by Blanca Perez, 29, rolled and landed on its wheels, he said.
Perez, whose breath smelled of alcohol, said she wasn't injured, but EMTs insisted she be checked out at Hackensack University Medical Center, Kahn said.
A blood sample also was taken, the chief said.

Northvale PD: Rockland Driver Found Passed Out, Vehicle Running, With Drugs, Booze, Loaded Gun
A Rockland driver who was found passed out with the motor running in a local park Wednesday morning was carrying a loaded handgun, police in Northvale said.
Northvale police responding to a 7:45 a.m. call found Jeremy T. Garcia, 22, of Stony Point out cold behind the wheel -- either from drugs or alcohol -- in Hogan Park, Police Chief Howard Ostrow said.
They smelled burnt marijuana and saw prescription drugs on the passenger seat, he said.
The officers woke Garcia after several attempts, after which he filed field sobriety tests, the chief said.
