NY State Police Sergeant Killed In Motorcycle Crash Crash
A longtime New York State Police sergeant was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, police said. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, near mile marker 36.1 southbound in East Fishkill, according to New York State Police. Investigators said a 2025 Ducati motorcycle was heading south when its rider lost control. The rider, identified as Sergeant Nigel K. Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Franklin Twp Crash: Police
A 45-year-old Somerset man was critically injured following a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle Saturday night, June 21, authorities said. At 10:41 p.m., a 2022 Ducati V4 motorcycle was traveling southbound on Cedar Grove Lane toward Pierce Street when he it crashed into a 2008 Lexus, Franklin Township police said. The rider sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, police said. The occupants of the Lexus were not seriously injured, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

The motorcyclist killed in a crash Tuesday on Route 206 has been identified as a New Jersey State Police sergeant and member of the US National Guard. Juan Fajardo, 41, of Columbus, was on his Ducati when he collided with a Ford Transit van around 4:15 p.m. near the Mansfield Square shopping center, Mansfield police said. Hunterdon County Native, Former Firefighter John Franks Dies, 39
Hunterdon County native and former Frenchtown firefighter John Franks died Nov. 24 at the age of 39. Born in Raritan Township, Franks graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School, his obituary says. He later attended the American Motorcycle Institute (AMI) in Daytona Beach, FL, where he specialized in Ducati motorcycle repair, his memorial says. Franks then worked at Michael Andretti Powersports in Phillipsburg and Flemington Yamaha before becoming an automotive tire technician at BJ’s Wholesale in Flemington.
