Cocaine Dealer Sentenced After Using Asbury Park Business To Sell: Prosecutors
An Ocean County man will spend more than a decade in prison after admitting to using an Asbury Park store and a Brick Township home to sell cocaine, authorities said. Henry Burns, 56, of Brick Township, was sentenced on Friday, Mar. 8 to 15 years in state prison, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced in a news release. NYC Pair Cited For Prescription Fraud In Ocean County Drug Sting
Two New York City residents were arrested and charged with prescription fraud and other drug offenses, authorities said. On Thursday, Jan. 12, the Brick Street Crimes Unit (SCU) acted on information they received from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) regarding prescription fraud. According to the DEA, there is a small group traveling throughout NJ and beyond, targeting pharmacies for prescription fraud. Members of the New York Drug Enforcement Task Force seized 44 pounds of heroin in Paterson while arresting two men after learning that one of them bought a huge amount of materials used to package the drug for on-street sale, authorities said. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office arrested 61 defendants in a month-long warrant sweep, authorities announced Monday. Three juveniles wanted for violent crimes were among those seized in "Operation Clean Sweep."
