Son Of Bergen County Executive Charged With Impersonating Police Officer In Florida
The son of Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer on Route 95 in Florida, authorities said.
James J. Tedesco IV, 43, of Nanuet had an NYPD jacket and DEA hat with him, as well as two AR-15 rifles, 1,139 rounds of ammo and a bag loaded with gas mask equipment and suits, when he was stopped on the southbound interstate in Vero Beach shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said.
He was arrested, processed and sent to the county jail about 2½ hours later, records show.

A Newark drug dealer caught with a gun was sentenced to five years in federal prison, authorities said.
Ricky Terrell, 24, was one of several dealers targeted for running an open-air drug market – slinging heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and more -- at the Stephen Crane Village public housing complex near the Belleville border, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said.

A Jersey City ex-con who fired at a moving car is headed to federal prison for a plea-bargained five years, authorities said Tuesday.
Jamel Armfield, 20, already had three felony convictions on his record when he squeezed off nine rounds from a .45-caliber Springfield Armory handgun at the vehicle on Gates Avenue last June, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said.

An Atlantic County Grand Jury has handed up an indictment against a Pleasantville man on narcotics distribution charges, authorities said.
Eric Paige, 42, was arrested with the help of federal DEA agents on multiple drug dealing and money laundering charges, according to , Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
