Prosecutor: Linden Man, 68, Touched Himself While Making Sexual Comments To Child At Local Park
A 68-year-old Linden man has arrested on charges of sex assault and related offenses after making explicit comments to a child at a local park while touching himself, authorities said. Paul J. Schappe, Jr. is facing second- and third-degree charges, respectively, after approaching a child playing basketball at Clifford Lawson Memorial Park and making sexual comments while touching himself over his clothing around 1 p.m. on May 2, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Authorities are investigating after a 42-year-old man died on a Linden street Monday morning. Police responding to the 2000 block of East Saint Georges Avenue found Bruce Edward Ham, Jr., with injuries around 2 a.m., Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Linden Police Chief David Hart jointly announced Tuesday. Ham was pronounced dead at the scene. U.S. Marshals Capture Linden Homicide Fugitive In Atlanta
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service captured a 38-year-old fugitive wanted for a Linden homicide in Atlanta, GA on Monday, authorities said. Dion M. Johnson is facing charges of first-degree murder and a pair of second-degree weapons offenses in connection with the death of Darrell Q. McKoy, Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said tuesday.
