A city in Monmouth County said it's renewing an effort to crack down on unauthorized “pop-up” parties. The mayor and public safety director of Long Branch issued a joint statement on Tuesday, June 4 about a "significant police presence" over the upcoming weekend. The city said a "pop-up" event was advertised on social media that was scheduled for Saturday, June 8. Long Branch police and the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office have identified three promoters who organized the event. NJ Beach Town Looks To Close Beaches Early Due To Wild Teens, New Curfew Enacted
Those under 18 years old will need adult supervision after midnight in one New Jersey beach town. Wildwood this week passed a new ordinance that requires juveniles to be accompanied by a parent or guardian between midnight and 6 a.m. unless they're going to or coming from work or a local business. A proposed ordinance suggests closing beaches from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for everyone, in the interest of public safety. According to the ordinance, it's all because of the rowdy teens that gathered in the city on the Fourth of July Weekend. The teens were rioting, engaging in "criminal mischief," and…

: Jersey Shore Town Sets Nightly Summer Beach Curfew
A police department in Ocean County has set a nightly curfew along part of the township's shore, authorities said. Toms River police said they are most concerned about unruly summer behavior at Normandy Beach and Chadwick Beach. Some say they think the summer-long curfew will punish good teenagers as well as those causing problems on the beachfront. The new restrictions apply to anyone 17 years old or younger, police said. The ban will apply to Toms River residents …

Hallett shot Quamierah Massey in the head on Hoffman Avenue in Trenton on April 5, Onofri said. She died the next day. Massey was among a group of people who gathered on Hoffman Avenue to watch a street fight between two women, th…

3rd Trenton Shooting Victim Dies, Mayor Orders Curfew Condemning Violent Weekend
Trenton Mayor W. Reed Gusciora announced the city has a mandatory 8 p.m. curfew, affecting everyone who isn't working and all businesses, including restaurants, gas stations and corner stores. “Yesterday was Palm Sunday, yet it was anything other than peaceful in the Capital City,'' Gusciora said in a statement. Trenton's 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew came as authorities announced a third person died of injuries from a spattering of shootings on Sunday. "Too many took to the parks and streets without regard to the public’s health and well-being,'' Gusciora said. "Moreover, much of the viol…
