A North Carolina man has been arrested in connection with a 1990 murder in New Jersey, authorities said.
Robert William McCaffrey Jr., 54, of Manteo, North Carolina, was taken into custody at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 10 by a multistate task force in the killing of Lisa Marie McBride, Sussex County Prosecutor Daniel Perez said.
McCaffrey is charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and burglary in the death of McBride, whose killing occurred on June 23, 1990, in Vernon Township, authorities said.

A Camden County grand jury has returned an indictment in a decades-old rape, robbery and attempted murder case, authorities said.
The "cold case" remained unsolved until last year, according to acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Somerdale Police Chief James J. Walsh.
