The sixth sex assault on a child announced Thursday by Passaic County authorities was allegedly committed by a Bronx man on a 12-year-old victim. Prosecutor Camelia M. Convicted Child Porn Trafficker From Paterson Busted Again
A Paterson man who spent three years in state custody for trafficking child porn was arrested by Passaic County sheriff’s officers on similar charges Thursday. Raul O. Alarcon, 32, had 150 or so child porn images on his phone when detectives raided his residence, Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik said. A homeless man broke in while an elderly Wayne woman was home and was about to burglarize another house when a resident there scared him off, authorities said. Responding Officers Adrian Sulejmani and Colin Bush nabbed Henry Smith III, who'd also burglarized a Haledon home, Wayne Detective Capt. Daniel Daly said Friday. Paterson’s first Muslim police chief wasn’t in the job long when he became the target of texted threats from a 28-year-old Clifton man because of what authorities said are his race, religion and nationality.
