Guns Smuggled From Georgia By Central Jersey Felon: AG
A man from Central Jersey has been arrested for illegally smuggling guns into New Jersey from Georgia, authorities said.
Barrett R. Griffin, III, 33, of North Brunswick, was indicted on multiple weapons charges, according to Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Plotkin. The guns were allegedly intended to be sold unlawfully, he said.
The indictment, handed up by a State Grand Jury on Friday, May 6, alleges that between Feb. 5, and Feb. 7, Griffin illegally transported handguns from Georgia to New Jersey, for unlawful sale.

Motorcyclist, 41, Killed In High-Speed Central Jersey Crash, Police Say
A 41-year-old motorcyclist from Essex County was killed in a crash in Central Jersey, authorities said.
Carlos Caraballo lost control of his motorcycle at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 on Route 1 northbound, Edison police said. The rider skidded and ended up under another vehicle near Parsonage Road, they said.
Caraballo, of Bloomfield, was pronounced dead shortly after the crash, police said.
Police say Caraballo was speeding and weaving between other vehicles just before his crash. The driver of the car had not been charged, police said.

The driver who struck and killed a pedestrian earlier this year was arrested, as was a woman who lied about the incident to police, authorities in Central Jersey said.

1800 Folds Heroin, 2 Handguns, $9000, Rifle Seized In Trenton, Central Jersey Raids: Prosecutor
A 32-year-old man from Trenton has been charged with storing and selling heroin in that city and in Central Jersey, authorities said.
About 1,800 wax folds of heroin, fentanyl pills, a high-powered rifle, two handguns and $9,000 were seized during raids on two Trenton homes and a hotel in South Brunswick, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
This cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified the two residences and the hotel room as being utilized by Aramis Wiggins, 32, of Trenton, to store and distribute heroin, Billhimer said.
