Man Steals Truck From Monmouth County Repair Shop: Officials
A Camden man is arrested in connection with a stolen pickup taken from an auto repair shop in Monmouth County, authorities said. Wall Township police said 37-year-old Matthew Leonard was charged with third-degree receiving stolen property on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The charge stems from a stolen truck report at Dorrer's Corner Garage in Sept. 2023. A Wall officer was called to the garage on Route 34 on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023. Futuristic Map Would Guide Wharton State Forest Visitors In 'Real-Time': NJ DEP
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is developing a digital visitors vehicle map that can be used to navigate the 124,350-acre Wharton State Forest. The state DEP is seeking public comments on the proposed map through March 9 by clicking here or here. The final Wharton Visiting Vehicle Use Map will be made available for download as a georeferenced PDF. One ex-con was sentenced to a plea-bargained 8½ years in federal prison and another a little more than seven -- both without parole -- for shooting a taxi driver during a late-night robbery in Elizabeth. A heartless public housing tenant from Atlantic City admitted that she scammed elderly victims out of more than $100,000 by claiming that they owed money on life insurance policies bought by a spouse who’d just recently died. A man who spent eight years in federal prison for robbing banks in Pennsylvania is headed back for another 12½ years for two subsequent South Jersey holdups in three days. Leon I.
