A pair of men from Illinois and New York have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Central Jersey, authorities said.
Brayan M. Renteria Acosta, 19, of Rockford, IL, and Brandon Zabala Hernandez, 21, of College Point, NY, were charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of criminal mischief and two counts of conspiracy in connection with two burglaries, according to Middlesex Police Chief Matthew P. A 24-year-old man from Hamilton has been charged in connection with a woman's beating death after neighbors reported a break-in, authorities said.
Denzel Whitmore, 24, is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree felony murder, second-degree burglary and fourth-degree tampering with evidence, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri and West Windsor Police Chief Robert Garofalo.

Paramus PD: Car Burglary Couple Swiped $50K In Jewelry, $28,000 In Cash In Only One Day
An out-of-state couple who targeted parked cars in and around Paramus stole a whopping $28,000 in cash, $50,000 worth of jewelry and $3,000 worth of clothing in one day, authorities said.
Area police were on alert after the enormous haul the day before when Paramus Officer Justin Sicari spotted a blue Nissan Rogue with Florida plates parked at the Garden State Plaza around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
Sicari and Officer Nicholas Perna watched and waited, and eventually saw the couple enter the Rogue and drive off, the chief said.

A pair of heartless thieves from Pennsylvania stole 19 catalytic converters from a lot off Route 17 packed with vehicles used to help seniors, the disabled and frail Bergen County residents get around, authorities said.

Three Colombian nationals remain in federal custody and a fourth has already been deported after the government said they stole jewelry, a Rolex, an antique rifle, furs and cash in a home burglary in Union County.
The quartet also took a stamp collection, luxury bags and more after breaking into the Cranford home shortly before 5 p.m. last Nov. 30, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
