A New York City man was convicted of blackmailing a teen into having sex with him at an Atlantic County hotel, authorities said. Zachary Williams, 37, was found guilty in federal court on Monday, July 22 of two counts of interstate travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor, production of and possession of child pornography, and coercion and enticement of a minor, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said in a news release. A 19-year-old Montvale man was arrested and charged with trying to blackmail a younger girl into sending him sexually explicit photos, authorities said. Cristian Lanius told the girl, 17, in February that he "already had other photos of her and would release them to followers of her Instagram page if she did not comply," Montvale Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. A 30-year-old pastor from Burlington County is accused of coaxing underage boys to send him nude photos and videos, authorities said. The Baptist youth pastor and music leader of a Hainesport church then used the material to blackmail his victims into performing sexual acts on themselves for his enjoyment, according to Burlington Count Prosecutor Scott Coffina. A judge ordered a 24-year-old Trenton man held without bail for blackmailing his girlfriend's then-13-year-old sister into having sex with him on camera, according to several reports and police records.
