NJ Troopers, SUV Driver Injured In South Jersey Crash Two New Jersey State Police troopers and the driver of a Ford Escape were hurt in a collision in Atlantic County, authorities said. A State police vehicle was struck by the Escape at about 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13.  The crash occurred on the Black Horse Pike (Route 322 eastbound) in Hamilton near milepost 40.3, said Lr. Lawrence Peele, a State Police spokesman. The troopers were taken by ambulance to an area hospital and the driver of the Escape was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, Peele said. Pedestrian, 33, Struck, Killed Crossing Atlantic County Highway A 33-year-old man from Atlantic County died early Monday after being struck by an SUV at a traffic light, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police were investigating whether the motorist had run through the red light on Black Horse Pike at English Creek Avenue. The victim was identified by police as Anthony Swezeny. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene about 8:30 a.m. Monday. Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Black Horse Pike Crash A motorcyclist was killed in a weekend crash on the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said. Joseph Seif III was heading east when he veered off the road near the Elmwood Avenue intersection Saturday around 2:35 p.m., Egg Harbor Township police said.  Seif, of Galloway, struck a curb and overturned several times -- the motorcycle landing in the grass median. Seif was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A GoFundMe account for the father of four had raised $4,400 as of Monday. The account was launched by his son.

Pedestrian, 54, Found Dead In South Jersey Roadway A man from Pleasantville was found lying dead in the roadway early Wednesday, authorities said. The 54-year-old man, identified as Rickie Jackson, was found at 1:03 a.m. on the outer westbound lane of Black Horse Pick (Route 322) at Chestnut Street, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said in a statement. Jackson had a medical bracelet on his wrist indicating he recently was released from the hospital, Tyner said.
