Philly Man Nabbed For DWI After Chase In South Jersey: Police
A Philadelphia man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a police chase in Camden County, authorities said. On Thursday, May 18, at approximately 7:10 pm, Gloucester Township police were alerted to a possible impaired driver operating a small red sport utility vehicle with heavy front end damage, police said. An additional caller reported that the driver struck a vehicle on Bethany Lane, they said. Police Prevent Woman From Jumping Off South Jersey Overpass
Police in South Jersey talked a woman out of jumping off an overpass, authorities said. On Tuesday, July 26, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Gloucester Township Police Emergency Communications Center received several 9-1-1 calls reporting a female who appeared to be preparing to jump off the Route 42 south overpass at exit 10A. Gloucester Township police and New Jersey State Police Troopers arrived and observed a woman sitting on the bridge abutment, approximately 30 feet above the Black Horse Pike. Motorcycle Strikes Tractor-Trailer In South Jersey, Rider Killed
A motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a tractor-trailer, Camden County authorities said. He was riding his motorcycle on Black Horse Pike near Clementon Avenue about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday when he hit a lowboy tractor-trailer, according to Gloucester Township police. The trailer was moving equipment from a construction site at the time of the crash, police said. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
